Sheryl's Family Tree is a place for me to share my family tree research with family and friends. My goal is to make my ancestors more than just names and dates. I want to be able to tell their stories as well.
What a great picture, Sheryl! Didn't everyone have a knotty pine room somewhere in their house, and a lamp that went from the floor to the ceiling with 2-3 lights at various levels? Lots of times with a "table level" at chair-height. Even the tree & decorations are so memorable of the era. Merry Christmas to my relatives in Tx!
Thanks Jeri! This is the house my mother grew up in. My great grandpa Erick Elsner built it in 1952 for grandpa Darrell. The house is only 779 square feet and has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. All the rooms were knotty pine! And did you notice the little octagonal window?

I didn't, but isn't that cute? My grandfather and father built so many little houses in MN, it would be really cool to go around and look at them now.
